Samsung Watch Ultra 2025

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) is a targeted refresh of Samsung's flagship rugged smartwatch — announced July 9, 2025 and released July 25, 2025 alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 series. The key changes are the new Titanium Blue finish and doubled internal storage to 64GB — and the updated watch ships with Samsung's latest One UI 8 Watch, based on Wear OS 6, right out of the box. Otherwise the 2025 Galaxy Watch Ultra is identical to its 2024 predecessor — retaining the same 47mm squircle design, MIL-STD-810H durability, 10ATM water resistance, advanced sensor array, Exynos W1000 chip, 2GB RAM, and 590mAh battery.

The 1.5" Super AMOLED display (480×480, 3000 nits peak, Always-On) is covered by Sapphire Crystal glass — the same material used in luxury watches and military optics, significantly harder than the chemically strengthened glass used on most smartwatches. At 3000 nits, it stays fully readable in direct sunlight. The Grade 4 Titanium 47mm squircle case — blending square and circular design elements with a distinctive orange Quick Button — is one of the most striking smartwatch designs available, and among the most durable.

64GB of storage — double the 2024 model's 32GB — provides meaningful headroom for offline music libraries, downloaded maps for GPS-only navigation, and additional apps. One UI 8 Watch on Wear OS 6 ships out of the box, bringing a redesigned quick settings panel, more informative Multi-Info Tiles, and new gesture controls for hands-free operation. Google Gemini AI is available on the wrist — activated by raising the wrist, no wake word needed.

10 ATM water resistance (100 metres), IP68, and MIL-STD-810H certification cover every realistic outdoor scenario — ocean swimming, trail running in heavy rain, temperature extremes, and drops. Health sensors include ECG, FDA-cleared sleep apnea detection, Blood Pressure Trend (calibration required), AGEs/Antioxidant Index, body composition, SpO2, skin temperature, and 24/7 heart rate. Safety Siren emits 86dB audible to 180 metres, Fall Detection, and Emergency SOS round out the safety features.
