The Nintendo Switch 2 launched June 5, 2025 — the most significant Nintendo hardware upgrade in eight years. It delivers everything the original Switch promised and more: a large 7.9" 1080p 120Hz display, genuine 4K output when docked, NVIDIA's Ampere GPU with DLSS 3.1 and ray tracing, 12GB of fast LPDDR5X RAM, and a redesigned Joy-Con 2 with magnetic attachment and mouse functionality.

This bundle includes a digital download code for Mario Kart™ World — the Switch 2's flagship exclusive launch title. Mario Kart World introduces an open-world format where all courses are connected in one vast racing world — grassy plains, bustling cities, wide-open waters, and volcanoes. Race with up to 24 players online, play 4-player local on the same console, or explore the open road freely. The game includes a GameChat mode for voice-chatting with friends while racing.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers are a significant upgrade — they now snap into place with magnetic connectors instead of the old click-in rail system, making attachment and detachment instant and satisfying. Each Joy-Con 2 can also function as a mouse on flat surfaces in compatible games — a genuinely new input method for Nintendo. A dedicated C Button on the right Joy-Con 2 launches GameChat instantly.

GameChat — Nintendo's new connected play feature — lets you voice chat, share your screen, and video chat with friends (USB-C camera sold separately) while playing. It's built into the system with a hardware microphone that filters background noise. No third-party app required. 256GB UFS storage holds a large game library, and a microSD Express slot expands up to 2TB.

The Switch 2 is backward compatible with your existing Nintendo Switch library — most games work, with some titles receiving free or paid upgrade packs for enhanced Switch 2 performance and content.
